I have been working with Chesapeake Think Tank (CTT) for more than 10 years. Chesapeake Think Tank has become my sounding board for business decisions. The Chesapeake Think Tank's Business Advisory Boards provides issue processing opportunities. Feedback during this process is a really cool experience because on the surface you think that the person with the issue is the one getting the most from the experience. But in fact, it really is an amazing two way street. As you are thinking about questions and thinking about the situation (of a fellow business owner), you very quickly realize that you likely have either gone through something like this yourself, or are going through something like this, and just have never really thought about it in this way. There's a lot of value that comes from thinking about these issues. Suggesting next steps, you come up with some ideas to fix a problem in your own business.

What I get out of the Business Advisory Board (BAB) meetings is a game plan. Everybody always needs a game plan to set goals where you want to be in six months, one year, three years and beyond. And if you get a little off track, the people in the BAB group will help you get back on track --- they want to see you succeed. I would tell people that are interested in joining, do it, hands down and do it. The benefits are just incredible.
It takes a lot of stress off knowing that you have other people that are in similar situations as you that can help you. It makes for a great place to go and kind of spill your guts and get everything off your chest that other people (friends and family) may not quite understand. Having so many business professionals to bounce ideas off of and have them help you is something that you just can't put a price tag on.
